Standard Instructions When Commissioning a House Portrait (Part II)

Your Painting
Then I really get to work. I can usually complete a watercolor painting within a few weeks after we are settled on the composition. Again, if you have a computer, I'll send you a scan of the painting once I'm finished so you can have a quick preview. Otherwise, I'll send you a scan via the mail with your invoice and a copy of the shipping/tracking information. The painting, which will shipped separately backed with foam core, plastic wrapped, and ready for you to mat and frame.

Shipping
There are many different shipping options, and the cost depends upon where the package will be shipped to and your own preference. Typically, it costs $10-15 to send an  insured painting (without glass) via US Postal Service.

Invoice
Paintings shipped/delivered within Massachusetts will be assessed a 6.25% sales tax, which will be included on the final invoice with shipping costs. A 50% deposit  is required once the composition is accepted, prior to the start of painting. Final payment is due upon delivery of the painting to you.
